Time Wave Zero 5.12- or 5.11 A0 2,000 ft
One of the longest routes in El Potrero. Often done in 2 days.
Time Wave Zero is an amazing climb that follows a mostly moderate line up to the summit of El Torro. With only two pitches of 5.11 and one 5.12 out of twenty three the route is very accesible to many climbers. The route is quoted to be the second longest sport route in North America.
The most common style is climbing the route in a very long day. Your guide will be able to connect many of the pitches making the route move faster. It is possible to also climb the route in two days as there are some natural ledges to sleep on. This is a great option if you are looking for more of a first big wall experience.
The route finishes on a pretty sharp 4th class ridge that is bolted to the summit. The route offers an amazing view from the summit of El Torro. Then follows the 23 rappels back to the ground.
