Service Description

This clinic combines the skills you would learn in our Intro to Multi Pitch and Self Rescue classes - while also centering in conversations about our identities, some of the unique barriers LGBTQ+/BIPOC people experience, and offering an opportunity to connect with other climbers who share our identities! Together, we’ll learn about how to safely approach sport climbing and multi pitch systems while simultaneously thinking about ways we can feel safe in our bodies and identities as people who don’t fit in a standard box. This program offers the opportunity to climb with and learn from someone who is queer, and who might align with your identities more than what you typically find on the rocks or within a gym. We see these programs as an opportunity to reimagine our stories as climbers, whatever that looks like for you right now, in a way that allows us to explore ourselves through connection, support and having fun! *You do not need to identify as LGBTQ+/BIPOC/queer to join these clinics, as they are meant to explore an all around more inclusive climbing culture.
